The Flu

Saturday afternoon while trying to get Zoë to wake up from a quick nap so we could go over to some friends house for dinner, we realized she was acting delirious and very whiney. I touched her head, and she was burning up. Her temperature was 102. We canceled dinner and Zoë and I stayed in bed and watched cartoons all evening and into the night. It was rather nice to snuggle with my girl. Sunday morning rolls around (like 2:30 in the morning) and we are both wide awake. She still had fever and was now complaining of her neck, head, and legs hurting. I just knew she had the flu.

So at 8:00am, we go to the Urgent Care and low and behold, she has the flu.

She really wasn't acting sick, but you could definitely see it in her eyes.

While she colored and played on the computer, I managed to do 3 weeks worth of laundry.

Around 3:30, she told me she needed her sleeping medicine because she was ready to go to bed.

At 9:15 she was still out.

I woke her up at about 10 to give her some Motrin because she was still burning up, but she was back asleep after a few hours. We woke up this morning to more fever and congestion, but she says she feels a lot better so that's a good sign.
