We left for one of our favorite vacation spots on a Wednesday around noon. After being in a car for 8 hours, this was such a beautiful sight.
Zoë wore her magic band from the moment we left Mobile. We were able to get a room at Disney's Pop Century for Wednesday night pretty cheap with Chris's hotel points. It was nice to be on property even before we officially checked in. :)
But Coronado Springs is our "home" when we are at the World. There is just something special about that place.
We were up pretty early, so we decided to take a stroll around the lake before breakfast.
Zoë and I added some bling to our magic bands before hitting up Animal Kingdom. Most people go to Magic Kingdom on their first day in the World. Not us Shuttlesworth's. Animal Kingdom has always been our first park of the trip.
We rode Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids 3 times each if that tells you how crowded, or lack of crowds, it was.
We even managed to get a last minute lunch reservation at one of our favorite restaurants: The Yak and Yeti. I do so love winging it at Disney World. :-)
And of course, we had to get autographs and pictures with our favorite characters.
We also enjoyed a nice safari ride.
